MEMORIAL AWARD GOES TO YOUNG HELPERS

Last year Clacton Carnival Association set up a special Award in memory of former Carnival Chairman Alan Wiggins, to be presented annually in recognition of outstanding help received during Carnival Week.

This year it was awarded to a group of Students from the Tendring Branch of the National Citizen Service, Class of 2016, at the Carnival donations evening held recently.  They came along to Carnival Week and gave outstanding help setting up and helping to run stalls.

As well as an Appreciation Certificate they received a cheque for £100 for their chosen Charity, which they have passed on to the local Branch of the M.S. Society.
