TEEGAN CROWNED CARNIVAL QUEEN 2016

 

 

 

16 year old Teegan Deeks, a pupil at Clacton Coastal Academy, has been crowned Clacton Carnival Queen, 2 years after being a Clacton Carnival Princess.  The Selection and Crowning took place at a Disco by Em-Be Sounds at The Tavern in Holland on Sea on March 18th.

 

Her Princesses are Leah Blackbourn, age 11, who is also a pupil at the Clacton Coastal Academy and Jessie Hughes-Harper, age 12 is a pupil at St. Benedicts, Colchester.

 

With 20 Clacton girls entering for a place in this year’s Court the Judges had a very difficult task.  They were Annette Hartnett, Ashley Masters, Barbara Powell and Sam McCarthy.

 

The new Court will represent Clacton at many other Carnivals and events in the area during the Summer as well as their big moment of leading the Clacton Carnival Procession on Saturday 13th August.
